Pyramid

View from the top of the pyramid at some of the outlying compound. Part of this was a spa!

Part of the group we toured with.

The pyramid from a distance.
While we were in San Miguel de Allende we learned that a recently discovered pyramid would be opening for tours to the public on Tuesday February 15th. We were numbers 35 and 36. What a blessing! It was 3 kilometers up hill at an elevation of 6000 feet. Us flat landers were sucking wind by the time we reached the pyramid. Well worth it.
The excavation and archaeological studies were started on April 8, 2002. The settlers here were Otomi Indians.
